Grooving through velvety bass lines and languid beats, the causal lyrics reflect a drifting and accidentally philosophical cognition: “I dream of my future / Remote from time bounds / Becoming myself / Without any end.” The relaxed pace of the song’s tempo lends itself to this time-ignorant mentality, and it’s pretty much how most of us get around without succumbing to the idea that there is in fact a grand finale for all of us. ‘I hope to be around’ is understated songwriting perfectly suited to fans of Yumi Zouma and Air France. - HT
